Transmission of All Services over a Single Network
All over WDM/OTN: the OptiX OSN 1800 encapsulates all services, from low rate services (such as FE services) to high bandwidth services (such as 10G services of any protocol), into OTN frames for transmission.
xPON-based: supports convergence of xPON services. This solves the problem of fiber attenuation in the PON system deployed in the urban area. Protection solution is within 50ms.
Highest integration in the industry: 1 U chassis can access 16 GE services, and 2 U chassis can access 48 GE services.
Long Distance Transmission with Fewer Nodes
The standard OTN interface supports the FEC function. After the OTN technology is applied to the traditional CWDM system, transmission up to 120km (33dB) is supported.
170km is supported by adding EDFA amplifiers, meeting the transmission requirements on the metropolitan transport networks.
Lower Maintenance Cost and Operation Cost
Multi-service, long-distance and large-capacity transmission helps simplify the network structure. In the system, the service processing and switching equipment, network management system (NMS), and OSS system are configured at the central node. The equipment with simplified transport functions is deployed in unattended equipment rooms.

Environment-Friendly and Less Power Consumption
The "All over WDM/OTN" technology helps service equipment deployed centrally at the large site, which is connected directly to the client equipment remotely. In this way, the number of edge nodes can be decreased by 30~90%.
The OptiX OSN 1800 adopts green design (energy saving design) and supports natural heat dissipation. It can be powered by AC power sources and is compact and easy to use. These features enable it to be deployed at any place. In addition, the typical 1 U configuration has less than 25W power consumption, which is less than the power consumption of a table lamp.
